Did you know that 1 in 4 pregnancies will end in loss?
Chances are that you or someone close to you – your sister, friend or colleague – has experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage. It can be a very isolating time.
Deep sadness compounded by a lack of support and trusted information, leave most women feeling alone and invalidated in their grief. Women need to feel loved, cared for and that their loss matters. With your help, we can make it happen.
- Our Miscarriage Support Resources will ensure that women have all the information they need, when they need it most – at the time they are told they have lost their much-longed-for baby – and will guide them to us for ongoing support. Their hearts may be broken but they will not walk away unsupported.
- Our Healthcare Professional Support will ensure that doctors and other medical staff feel equipped to provide the specialised level of care that a woman needs and deserves at the time of a miscarriage diagnosis, via our Miscarriage Care Guidelines.
- Our Peer Support Programme will ensure that women who are going through loss have the support of another woman who has been there before, who understands and who ‘gets it’. This personalised support is vital to the emotional wellbeing of grieving women to reduce their feelings of isolation and reassure them that what they are feeling is valid.
Your support today will make a huge difference! Please help us ensure that every woman experiencing pregnancy loss feels loved, cared for and supported at a time when they need it most.
Your gift of $20 will ensure four women receive immediate support with our Miscarriage Support Resources upon a miscarriage diagnosis. They will leave with the knowledge of what to expect and where to turn to for extra support and information.
Your gift of $50 will help us provide support and guidelines to Healthcare Professionals to ensure they are able to offer women and couples the empathy, understanding and follow up needed when experiencing the heartbreak of pregnancy loss.
Your gift of $100 will fund the ongoing training of Peer Support Ambassadors nationwide, and allow us to access the infrastructure necessary to ensure the seamless support of women in need. Our Peer Support Programme is offered to women as a series of six free personalised phone calls.
